Here are the excerpts from Mike’s interview in the June issue of Stuff Magazine.
Discussing the success of MTM in charts, Chester commented it to be unbelievable. Chester admitted that he had high hopes from this album but didn’t expect an enormous response.
"I know that we're all extremely proud of this record, and we hoped that it would do well and I was thinking big and I was like, 'If we sell 250,000 copies of this thing in the first week, like, I'll be super happy,'" he said. "But six hundred and twentysomething thousand in the first week is just unbelievable, especially nowadays, you know. That just doesn't happen anymore. So, you know, I can't express it enough, but we have the best fans in the world, hands down."
Linkin Park's album "Meteora" in 2003 also found the top spot with sales of 810,000 copies. The state of the music industry has changed drastically since "Meteora" days, but guitarist Brad Delson told Launch recently that Linkin Park wasn't anxious about competing its previous sales figures. "I almost think it's less pressure because sales are so much smaller than what they were," he said. "Everyone's expectations in terms of sales are a lot different than what they were, so from that perspective, it's probably less pressure. For us, the emphasis first and foremost is on making great music that's challenging and exciting to us, and hopefully to our fans."
The organizers confirmed today when they announced that Linkin Park will feature in the Tokyo leg of the 24 hr, 7 continent LIVE Earth concert on July 7, 2007. The full information about the tickets and the artist line-up is to be announced on May 29. Full Press Release here.

Billboard discography informs that LP’s two singles, namely; ‘Given up’ and ‘Shadow of the Day’ will be released on August 6 and October 8, respectively.
While talking to Rolling stones this morning about MTM, Mike Shinoda said “Honestly, I’ve been staying extra-focused on this summer’s Projekt Revolution Tour so I wouldn’t think about the first week sales number! Whenever we create something new, there’s always suspense before its release–at this point all I can say is a huge, humble ‘thank-you.’” Despite the big week though, this week’s total album sales were seven percent less than that of the same week last year. To those of you who haven't heard that LP is releasing a new album called Minutes To Midnight! This album includes 12 tracks which names you can find at the end of this news.the album will be released on May 14, 2007 and the band member are very exited about it as well as the fans! in this album you won't see a lot of singing from Mike Shinoda it seems like mike has only rapped on "Bleed It Out" and "Hands Held High" but he is the co-producer of this album which a very big step!The Producer of the album Rick Robin which have worked with many great artist such as Ref Hot Chilli Peppers , and the band is very happy with him.LP has repeatedly said that this album will be very different from Hybrid Theory and Meteora but yet you can hear and realize that this is LP!
